ONLINE ONSLAUGHT
WWE TV Spoilers
June 5, 2002

by Rick Scaia
Exclusive to OnlineOnslaught.com

Here are the results from the rest of this week's WWE TV, taped the past two days in Texas and Oklahoma...  as always, if you don't want the surprises spoiled for you, this is your one chance to turn back.

Otherwise, here goes:

Sunday Night Heat
(Taped Monday, Airs Sunday)

  • Raven beat Spike Dudley
  • Molly Holly beat Miss Jackie
  • Big Show got a DQ win over Jeff Hardy
  • Crash Holly beat Shawn Stasiak
  •

Velocity
(Taped Tuesday, Airs Saturday)

  • Test beat Randy Orton
  • Chavo Guerrero beat Sho Funaki
  • Godfather beat Hugh Morrus
  • In a Tough Enough 2 challenge, Ivory beat TE Linda after interference from TE Jackie.

SmackDown!
(Taped Tuesday, Airs Thursday)

  • Vince McMahon opens the show by announcing the winner of a 20 man battle royal will earn the #1 contender spot for the KotR PPV.  The 20 men consisted of a bunch of the mid-carders and then Jericho, HHH, Angle, and Hogan.  The battle royal came down to Hogan and HHH, and eventually, the two did a spot where HHH clotheslined Hogan out of the ring, but had his own momentum carry him over, too, so it was a "tie."  [Actually, they had to do the spot twice according to a couple reports, so maybe it wasn't a tie the first time?]  Eventually Vince got involved again, and basically set things up so that Hogan and HHH would face each other one-on-one in the SD! main event to determine the #1 Contender.
  • Backstage:  Kurt Angle's cutting a promo about being screwed out of a title shot, when he's interrupted by Bob Holly (who eliminated him from the battle royal).  A match is set up between the two.  Also backstage:  Dawn Marie tries to visit Vince McMahon, but is cut off by Stacy Keibler, and the two proceed to get snippy with each other.  Also backstage:  Billy and Chuck tell Rico that if they don't win their tag titles back tonight, they'll get a new stylist.
  • Billy and Chuck beat Rico and Rikishi to regain the tag team titles when Rico decided to just superkick his partner and get it over with.
  • Backstage:  the Hurricane found another note from his arch-nemesis.
  • In a KotR qualifying match, the Big Valbowski beat Christian to advance.
  • Backstage:  they do an angle with Vince welcoming TE2 winners Jackie and Linda to WWE that somehow ends with Vince setting up the Velocity match between Ivory and Linda.
  • Kurt Angle pinned Bob Holly following a really stiff contest.  Afterwards, Holly tried to remove Angle's wig, and Angle (predictably) snapped, and laid out Holly with the ring bell.
  • At a hospital:  Torrie Wilson arrives in Maven's room to bolster his spirits.  After some suggestive licking of a banana, Maven gets rid of a nurse, and the two have some privacy.  Eventually, Tajiri tracks them down (dressed as a doctor), and spews mist in Torrie's face before attacking Maven's injured leg.
  • Edge hit the ring for a promo in which he talked about injuring his shoulder in the cage match last week on SD!, but how he had no regrets.  The only thing that pained him was the fact that he would have to forfeit his KotR qualifying match to Chris Jericho.  At this point, Jericho himself came out, and a war of words ensued, which soon escalated into blows.  Jericho wound up driving Edge's injured shoulder into the ring steps, no doubt doing the "further damage" that will explain Edge's impending absence.  The Big Valbowski eventually made a save, since I'm guessing he's got Jericho in the next round...
  • Rev. D-Von Dudley hit the ring, and prefaced his match with sermon about how evil the "fornicators and masturbators" in Oklahoma are.  Faarooq came out, declared himself a fellow "fornicator and masturbator," and then quickly pinned D-Von following the Rude Spinebuster.
  • Lance Storm pinned Billy Kidman following a superkick in another good, if-too-short, match.
  • In the main event, Triple H defeated Hulk Hogan to officially earn the #1 Contender spot for the next PPV.  HHH kicked out of the Leg Drop o' Doom, and eventually pinned Hogan after a Pedigree.  After the match, Undertaker and Angle both attacked, laying out HHH and Hogan to end the broadcast of SD!  [The live crowd got a comeback from Hogan and HHH, which ended with Hogan pulling off Angle's wig.]

Be sure to check out these shows as they air throughout the rest of the week...  or just come on back to OO for our detailed and insightful recaps, courtesy of ??? (for SmackDown), Jonny X (Velocity), and The Cubs Fan (Heat).
