Regarding the crowd reaction, isn't this the third night in a row they've run the same arena? I'm wondering if it's just crowd fatigue rather than a lack of interest in the matches.

Also, I 100% agree on the Bryan/Miz interaction. Those two are just so damn good together and playing them up as maybe, possibly becoming friends is a nice new dynamic.

Red lighting aside, I think any fears about the crowd being dead and/or turning on this match can be officially eased.

Cool to see D-Bry still able to pop the crowd into a frenzy with the full on return of the YES chants.

The crowd redeemed themselves with that “normal lighting” chant.

Also...I still want to see Firefly Funhouse Bray wrestle. It’d be cool to see him do like a total Hogan style match.

Here’s your chance walter. Earn those capital letters.

Edit - ok ... that was pretty fun. Good work Walter. I’ll give you the W.

Given the recent debates about his appeal as a wrestler, the underwhelming Chicago crowd coming alive for goddamned WALTER is highly amusing to me.

ETA: HA. And then he gets eliminated in like a minute.

Has WALTER even been pinned yet on WWE TV? Him going out first was surprising.

And good on him for being mad over with the crowd.

Wait, what?

Becky/Baszler/Bayley is going to be the main event. I wonder what's brewing, because I never would have guessed that.

I would have guessed it even less often given that there's really no drama with regard to "brand supremacy." RAW is eliminated from winning, so if Becky wins, ho hum. SD can tie it up if Bayley wins, but ties suck. Is Shayna just gonna turn it into a landslide?

What am I missing? Impromptu rubber match, maybe? Or just some lame ass punt where things get settled later this week or next month at TLC? Or don't get settled at all?

Rhea...Cole...Keith Lee...there was a lot of good so far.

No idea why you’d have WALTER be the first guy eliminated though. Drew looked to be loving being able to through some stiff chops.

Yeah, the women's triple threat going on last is kind of a head-scratcher, just because there's not chance for a title change or a shocking heel turn.

Also, that men's 5 on 5 (on 5) match kicked ass.

Why is Rey Mysterio is channeling Doink the Clown tonite?

Ronda's return. 4HW vs 4HW.

Good on WWE for making me believe, if only for a fleeting second, that Rey Mysterio might actually win. Dominick pulling off a 619 and frog splash was fun, too; you have to imagine that was really cool for Mysterio, even if he lost.

Is it really all that shocking that the women's triple threat is going on last? That was my guess for the main event. I didn't figure it would be one of the title matches, since that puts one brand above the competition among the brands, and I figured the pacing of those three-way elimination matches would be too tricky for a main-event match. I'm not expecting much of a swerve for the main event, just an awesome match. Though if there is a swerve in the offing, it has to be Ronda Rousey, right?

I'm glad I'm not the only one whose brain went there.

I'll admit it: I loved the Father and Son Hope Spot. Awesome. Just as awesome was Brock snuffing it out so succinctly.

Given that was on the shorter side, even by Lesnar standards, we've got over an hour left, so what if that "impromptu rubber match" thing comes to pass.

If Bayley wins to tie, then if it's all NXT Winners vs. all SD winners, it would be a mixed tag of Strong/Rush/Rhea vs. Reigns/Roode/Ziggler/Bayley. If Corbin shows up with his buddies Ziggler/Roode, you could have him backstab Reigns, and things would get interesting.

Or that. Why didn't I think of that?

Why do I keep watching WWE PPVs? Takeover was amazing, but this is just awful. Not from a wrestling point of view, but from logic and storytelling. What is the point of this? Raw can't win and SmackDown can only tie. Even Graves doesn't get it, because he said something it only being a matter of time before SmackDown passes NXT. How?

Just watched the Bray vs Bryan match.

I know he's old, injury-ridden and all the other reasons for why he wouldn't be the ''right'' choice to defeat the Fiend but that match just left me wanting more. Bryan went back to the well and channeled the Yes Movement but it wasn't enough to beat the Fiend. Now he has to try something different. Also, Bryan countering the Mandible Claw with a rope-assisted armbar was awesome.

Too bad we had to watch the match through those stupid red lights. Why are they still doing that?

So the supposed biggest face in the company is a poor loser who attacks somebody from behind because she couldn't get the job done? Really? Why was this match on last when they just had NXT win clean?

Clearly I don't know how to WWE properly.

I don't really get the Ronda talk...I feel like there was zero chance of her showing up tonight and I wouldn't expect her to come back until closer to WrestleMania, if she's even coming back at all.

And I'm not quite sure what the point was of having Becky stand tall to close out the PPV even though she lost the match. Putting the women's match on last on top of doing that finish was kind of an odd choice for what was otherwise a really good PPV.
