So what are everyone's playoff predictions? I'm going with:

Buffalo (5) over Houston (4)
New England (3) over Tennessee (6)
New Orleans (3) over Minnesota (6)
Philadelphia (4) over Seattle (5)

Baltimore (1) over Buffalo (5)
Kansas City (2) over New England (3)
Philadelphia (4) over San Francisco (1)
New Orleans (3) over Green Bay (2)

Baltimore (1) over Kansas City (2)
Philadelphia (4) over New Orleans (3)

Baltimore (1) over Philadelphia (4)

Am I crazy for picking Philly to make it to the Super Bowl? Probably, but this is the second year in a row they've miraculously stumbled into the playoffs and the universe hates me (I am not an Eagles fan, in case anyone here isn't aware).

And I like how wide open the playoffs feel this year. Outside of maybe Buffalo, Houston, and Minnesota, it wouldn't shock me to see any of these teams make it to the Super Bowl.

Yeah I’m a homer.

* Yes goon, I think you’re crazy for picking Philly in the SB. They’ve played well the last few weeks and Wentz has performed admirably considering what’s happened to his receiving corps, but running off four straight wins at the end of the year becomes a lot less impressive when it’s against the Giants, Redskins, Cowboys and Giants again. Wouldn’t totally shock me for them to pull off a first round upset at home (and god, fuck Seattle they don’t deserve to win shit after last night), but I can’t see them making any kind of sustained run having to play good teams every week.

Oh yeah, I know I have no rational reason for picking Philly to go that far in the playoffs. But it's just the fact that they won the Super Bowl with Nick Foles two years ago, then came dangerously close to beating New Orleans on the road and advancing to the NFC championship game last year (after squeaking into the playoffs and then advancing in the first round due to the Bears' double-doink), so after they squeaked into the playoffs yet again this year by virtue of getting to play four shitty teams in a row and winning all four games, I'm just like fuck it...they're going to the Super Bowl, aren't they?

I've watched very few games this year, and not very many of the highlight review shows, so this is me throwing it in the air:

Buffalo (5) over Houston (4)
New England (3) over Tennessee (6)
New Orleans (3) over Minnesota (6)
Seattle (5) over Philadelphia (4)

Baltimore (1) over Buffalo (5)
New England (3) over Kansas City (2)
San Francisco (1) over Seattle (5)
New Orleans (3) over Green Bay (2)

Baltimore (1) over New England (3)
San Francisco (1) over New Orleans (3)

San Francisco (1) over Baltimore (1)

Well, it figures the one year I pick against Houston in the playoffs, they decided to not shit the bed at home and overcome a 16-0 deficit in the second half. Great game though and Watson avoiding that dual sack at the end was fucking amazing. Houston could be dangerous going forward in the playoffs if they keep playing like they did in the second half today.

EDIT: And just like that, the New England Patriots were simply just...gone.

fuck it i don’t know what’s going on any more

eagles by 30 i guess

Edit: And seriously not bitter about the Saints. I’d rather just play like shit and get beat any day over losing on a once-in-a-lifetime fluke play or having it stolen at the end by horrible officiating.

Carson Wentz apparently knocked out of the game...an unlikely backup coming in...the stage is officially set for the Eagles' run to the Super Bowl.

I'm still going with my Super Bowl pick of Niners over Ravens. But as we all know, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN THE DOUBYA DOUBYA EFF!!!!

Well that certainly was not the expected outcome in the Baltimore/Tennessee game. And I want to say that the AFC is Patrick Mahomes' for the taking now, but damn, it's hard to discount the Titans at this point (and even Houston for that matter).

Also, I know I was being pretty silly with my "Eagles to the Super Bowl" pick, but this is by far the worst I've ever done here with my playoff picks.

Does anyone actually want to go to the Super Bowl this year?

Apparently Houston doesn't! Because how you go from up 24-0 in the second quarter to down 28-24 at halftime is a mystery to me.

Also, I'm a Panther fan (have lived in Charlotte for 30 years) but I was born in Houston, so the Texans are kind of my de facto team in the playoffs right now. But with that said, I like all three of the teams left in the AFC, so I'm good with any of them going to the Super Bowl.

EDIT: The Chiefs going on a 51-7 run after being down 24-0 is fucking unbelievable.

EDIT 2: Pete Carroll losing in the playoffs will never get old. And after having to endure teams in the Super Bowl that I personally hate for the last few years (New England, Philly, Atlanta) I'm happy to say that I'm good with all four teams that are left, though I'm probably pulling for whoever comes out of the AFC in the Super Bowl.

Love next week’s matchups.

A #1 vs #2, and a #6 that has already taken out #3 and #1 against a #2.

Well, count me officially onboard for a Kansas City/San Francisco Super Bowl. Should be a hell of a game.
