Avengers: Endgame (no spoilers)

So, the put tickets on sale, AMC's website crashes.....

Plus they announce that AMC will have a 22 movie marathon (59+ hours), but since the site is down, I don't know where or how much.

Of course we will be in the Bahamas then, so if I thought about it, my wife will kill me, and probably not be convicted.

ETA: The 59 hour marathon is only being shown in three theaters. (NYC, Chicago, LA) for $125.00

I remember the topic of a theater marathonning all of the MCU movies was discussed in the Infinity War thread last year, so it's funny that it's really happening. I just wonder how that will work though...like, nobody can watch 59 straight hours of movies, so do you spend $125 on a ticket and just stop in over the next two and a half days whenever you have time? Or do you attempt to spend the entire duration in the theater, where you'll probably sleep through about 1/4 of the movies?

And I read earlier that Endgame has already smashed ticket pre-sale records (the previous record holder was The Force Awakens), so I'm curious to see just how insane of a first weekend it's going to have at the box office. My wife and I got our tickets today, for 8:00 PM opening night, and to say I'm psyched is an understatement. Infinity War seemed like a huge event when it came out (and it was), but fuck, I think Endgame feels even bigger.

When they did the mini marathon (30 some hours, lol) for Age of Ultron, the blogs I read is that the theaters allowed people to come and go, so I would assume it would be the same this time.

When I did the Capt. America 5 movie session, they gave you a lanyard with the schedule of the start times of the movies so you would know when to get back to your seat.

A theater near me is doing the full marathon. They advertise that it includes meal and shower breaks. My best friend and I used to occasionally do marathons ("all" six star wars, three extended edition lord of the rings, 8 harry potters, etc..). It's fun but that's on a couch where you can control the breaks and order a pizza or something. I can't imagine that many movies anywhere let alone in a theater.

I've been working through my own rewatch. Due to distraction from Mania and life I didn't start in time so I'll have to skip a few.

A few random thoughts in my rewatch:
- I realized my hatred for the third act of Iron Man was over shadowing how great the first 2/3 of the movie is. It's just a perfect film until the Iron Monger stuff.
- The first Thor is underrated for it's comedy. It's obviously not as good as Ragnarok, but it's still very funny.
- First Cap is carried by incredible casting and supporting characters.
- Avengers is as good as I remember.
- Second Thor is worse then I remember. The final battle has some fun stuff where they are playing with gravity, but it's really not good.

Yeah, all of the initial buzz seems to be extremely good, which has me even more psyched (if that's possible). I'll be seeing it at 8 PM tomorrow night, so less than 24 hours to go...holy shit.

Also, I'm planning on doing a full spoilers Endgame thread after seeing it (unless someone else beats me to it, which is totally fine if so). So if anyone else here is also seeing it tomorrow, hopefully we can get some nice, spoilery discussion going.

A spoiler-free 'must read' before seeing the movie.
