RIP Greg Lake

One of the most talented trio's of my yute was Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Their music didn't fit radio, with not enough lyrics and extensive length. songs.

Keith Emerson died earlier this year, and today Greg Lake. I am sad. If you are unfamiliar with their work think insanely long drum solos (Carl Palmer) keyboard riffs (KE) and acoustic guitar by Lake.

Here's a cut off of what I believe was their greatest album, Brain Salad Surgery.

Greg Lake's voice landed a commercial hit with Lucky Man (first ELP Album) and his "I believe in Father Christmas" is one of my all time favorite non carol Christmas Songs.

ETA: Father Christmas. https://youtu.be/Lqwqknq7nuI

dafuq?

This blows. I love the first King Crimson album - Greg sang on the first two, played bass on the first.

In addition, after the first Asia album, there were some issues between members, so John Wetton (who played bass and sang for KC a couple of guys after Lake) briefly left. Greg toured with them during John's brief hiatus.
