Although it certainly enters the realm of the truly ridiculous, I almost want to see Pentagon Jr. start having matches while still in his wheelchair.

Whoa.....you guys are way off. I've attended 6 different TV tapings and RARELY ever does the talent work twice in one day. Having said that rarely does a talent work the next day on a back to back day of tapings if they worked a match the night before. This leaves some of the true believers disappointed because sometimes they don't get a chance to see thier favorite luchador wrestle at any given taping.

I was at the taping for the "no mas" match that will air tonight between sexy star and Mariposa. I don't know how it's going to come off TV, but I do remember after seeing it live, it was the best women's match I'd ever seen.

Sexy Star vs. Mariposa was a fine match that told the story that it needed to tell. For what it was, it was good. I don't think it was anywhere near as good as the pair of Bayley vs. Sasha Banks matches from the NXT Takeover specials last year. Those are the best women's wrestling matches I've ever seen.

Slade, I actually totally Agee with you, Sasha vs. Bayley are the best women's matches I've ever seen. That Sexy Star was the best I ever saw live and one of the best I've ever seen on television. You could argue best women's brawl in history. I was a little surprised that Forbes wrote an article and actually called it MOTY candidate that helped validate my opinion. Heres the link:

http://www.forbes.com/sites/donaldwoodjr/2016/05/10/lucha-undergrounds-sexy-star-embodies-womens-revolution-in-wrestling/#44b231f84d0a

Jim Ross also put the match over huge on his latest podcast. All that being said, I'm just happy that people are still enjoying and watching the product including talking about the match quality.

Took me a minute to recognize Lorenzo Lamas as the councilman in service of the dark lord this week. I blame the most-interesting-man-in-the-world beard.

The coffin lid punch spot was cool. I've never seen that done before. I'm glad the glove thing only telegraphed it in retrospect, if that makes sense.

Huh, that's kinda cool that they have Lorenzo Lamas doing stuff, just because. Now insert a joke about it being a shame that he can't form a tag team with WCW's Renegade due to him being dead.

Note 1: Yay for me thinking The Renegade was the name of the guy that was actually The Disciple.

Note 2: Yay for me not remembering that said guy that was The Disciple was Ed Leslie. Although to be fair, I don't even remember that being the case. I was actually thinking it was Van Hammer for some reason. '90s WCW! I watched the shit out of it, but I'll be damned if I remember everything.

As far as nasty brawl gimmick matches go, that match between Matanza Cueto and Mil Muertes was much more to my taste than the one between Sexy Star and Mariposa. Both were good matches. However, I just preferred what the big monsters did over what the women did.

I'm also all into this political corruption angle. I can't wait to see where it goes and who the powerful politico/lord ends up being, as well as how the FBI will proceed with this extra layer of crime to deal with.

I love this show.

That was a quick reign for the Trios champs! Don't know if it's because of the shortened season, but did they just defend their title once against Son of Havoc, Ivelisse, and Johnny Mundo and lose the very next defense? I'm not complaining, I love the Mundo, PJ Black, Jack Evans, and Taya stable, but I was not expecting it to be that short. Wondering where Rey goes from here.

Chavo Guerrero with a very good match against Cage, though Cage finished his job and got back the GOTG championship. And Joey Ryan has started getting in his invincible dick spots.

They are leaving us hanging with the "more powerful than Matanza" mystery guy. If it really turns out to be Arnold Schwarzenegger, like some rumors out there say, I will lose my shit.

With the ridiculous level of cheating in the match (4 low blows!) nobody on the Prince Jr Jr team loses any face, as it were.

It was a great match. A couple of very ambitious spots didn't go exactly like it looked like they were planned to, but they covered well. And the crazy combo moves that did work were bananas.

That Chavo vs. Cage match for the GOTG title was better than any business it had being. It was Chavos best match in YEARS, and definitely his best match in LU. Enjoyed his Eddie tributes, was hoping he'd lie, cheat or steal his way to a victory as he has major heal heat.

Trios title match, crazy non-stop action!

All the cinematic vignettes were great this week, especially King Cuerno having Mil Muertes posted up in his trophy room!

Haven't heard the Schwarzenegger rumor before.

One of my favorite episodes this season. Good Stuff.

Wow.
WWE had to have done the Corbin/Ziggles ball kick matches on purpose to fuck with LU. This week and last week's nut-shot-centric trios matches were taped months ago.

I think it is probably just a coincidence, but you may be right.

Cage truly is a machine. I just finished watching his match with Matanza Cueto and it was excellent. Both of these guys are incredibly athletic. However, Cage never ceases to impress me. He routinely pulls out new moves. Usually, they are from a power set, but in this match, he was pulling out true lucha libre maneuvers in the early going. I was surprised to see him do it. It blows my mind how a guy of his look and talent isn't one of the biggest superstars in the world of professional wrestling. He's got more moves than Dean Malenko and Chris Jericho combined and he has the look that would make Vince cream his pants. I'm not saying that I want him to leave Lucha Underground, but conventional wisdom tells me that this guy ought to be main eventing Wrestlemania, not fighting in the Temple.

I'm disappointed that he didn't win the match. I've become a huge mark for The Machine. On the other hand, I think Pentagon Jr. taking the title from Matanza Cueto is the better story to tell, so I'm okay with it provided that is where we end up at the next Ultimate Lucha.

Ball kicks on both shows last week, and this week we have nunchucks on LU and Smackdown.
