To their credit they're great workers andd embrace the ever loving shit out of their gimmick, but once they start getting jobbed out like The
Ascension or Tyler Breeze I'm going to die inside a little.
To be fair, so long as they don't wind up breaking any of those "unwritten rules in the back" like claiming to be better than legendary tag
teams in promos without their participation or asking for permission to leave a taping early and then leaving early once permission is given, they
should be fine.
These horrid sins aren't even the root cause of Breeze or the Ascension's languishment. Their real crime is Having a Gimmick. Save for
outliers like the Wyatt Family (allowed to get over but woefully misused) and the New Day (who aren't a gimmick so much as a collection of funny
ticks), show up with an actual character and you can pretty much hear the knives being sharpened.
Sadly, the Vaudevillains are 100% in this situation. It is countdown to jobbertown. Enzo & Cass, too, most likely. The sooner WWE realizes NXT is its
own marketable brand rather than a WWE feeder system, and keeps NXT-friendly performers there, the happier I'll be.

I agree with you about the Vaudevillains, just because there's a limited shelf life with that gimmick, but I think Enzo/Cass have a future on
the main roster. Enzo is great on the mic and Cass looks like he walked out of a Vince McMahon wet dream (plus he seems pretty decent on the mic too
from what I've seen), so I can see them being more Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn and less Tyler Breeze/Ascension.

Pretty standard PPV go-home episode of Smackdown this week, but damn if that wasn't a hot ending to hype up Reigns/AJ at Payback. Every once in
a while the WWE creative team nails it and this was one of those times.
Also, I guess the League Of Nations is done? If so, that's kind of a fittingly anti-climatic ending for a faction that I thought they could have
done way more with (though I'm probably in the minority there). At least this could possibly get Del Rio back towards the top of the
card, where he really hasn't been since beating Cena clean upon his return.

Two things from Smackdown this week:
One, I really liked Jericho putting Ambrose in a straitjacket during the opening segment. That totally reminded me of something you would see in an
old school wrestling angle from the 80's or early 90's. My only fear is that it leads to some kind of "straitjacket match" at Extreme
Rules, because that would give me horrible flashbacks to the blindfold match that Jake Roberts and Rick Martel once had.
Two, Tyler Breeze and Fandango turned on Goldust/R-Truth and I think they could make for a really fun tag team. Even though I'm sure they
inevitably will job out to Golden Truth at Extreme Rules, maybe it'll let both guys revitalize themselves in the tag ranks. Also, if
Breeze/Fandango and Golden Truth stick around, how stacked is the tag division right now:
New Day
Usos
Gallows/Anderson
Dudleys
Cass/Enzo
Vaudevillains
Lucha Dragons
Golden Truth
Ascension (if they're even still around)
Breeze/Fandango

The.. Shining Stars, I think? That's what Smackdown this week seemed to hint at. Plus the
whole "The Shining Star of the etc" tagline on their PRomos (see what I did there? ).

Not sure if anyone was noticing (or even watching) but Enzo was wearing a genuine Wookie jacket during segment.

I had a high alcohol buzz while watching Smackdown last night, so I did not notice that. Though I think most of the time I'm slightly confused
by what Enzo is wearing regardless.
With that said, I'm loving this Enzo and Cass/Dudleys feud. It's textbook new guys vs veterans, but it's clicking really well.

I wonder what Swagger's all-time record is against Rusev? It's got to be a legit 0-8 or 0-9, though I want to say he maybe got a DQ
win over Rusev at some point.
Also, good main event between AJ and Kofi. Though the "cartoon character-ness" of New Day is kind of glaring when paired up against a group like The
Club.
