You know, the Leafs can just not make the playoffs for 5 years in a row if they win the cup THIS year...

Seriously thoug, I think detroit fans can't complain...they basically ran into a really hot goalie at the wrong time...and after getting the cup way too often as of late...

Things are going pretty good.

Wings are on the way out, possibly in a sweep. If they do, I have to look at Cujo and laugh. He left Toronto for a shot at the cup, and he could be out in the first round. It will be good if Leafs make it at least into round 2.

Now Corson has left the Leafs too. I can understand his point in leaving. The leafs are short on forwards, running 3 lines, Flyers are much bigger than the Leafs are, and Quinn makes Corson a healthy scratch while Hoglund who couldn't knock his Grandma off the puck and Housley who only played one shift the whole game got to play. Doesn't seem right, they need Corsons toughness, even if he doesn't score. This will hurt the leafs more than Corson in the long run.

Edmonton...I hope they keep it going, I want as many Canadian teams going as possible. Wouldn't a Leafs/Edmonton, or a Leafs Canucks final be great? Improbable maybe, but great nonetheless.

Canucks vs Leafs would be great. At least I wouldn't be torn about who to cheer for. I wouldnt mind seeing 'Nucks/Sens either but I would hate to have the Sens suffer that kind of stomping.

Canucks/Sens gets my vote... as long as TO goes out in round 1. Arrogant Toronto bastards. I hate 'em, 2HoT, I hate 'em.

Don't get me wrong though, I love my Canuckleheads... it's just that being a Canucks fan is like being in an abusive marriage. They hurt you year after year after year, but you still go back, hoping that, this time, things might be different.

It's also like being a Benoit fan: you watch them for years, slowly building from jobbing to teams like Chicago and Calgary (Malenko and Nash) to contending. They're always close to the main event, but never quite make it.

Benoit's title win in WCW was like the Canuck run of 94--so close to what I wanted. But Benoit left the day after, was stripped of his title, and now puts John Cena over.

Sigh. Hold me, 2HoT.

Damn.
BFG told me if I asked, you would.

At WrestleMania, my friends and I were sitting in the bleachers and had our section laughing during the Angle-Lesnar match. There was that long spell on the mat where Angle was trying to choke out Brock; we kept screaming, "Submit! Tap out to the Cuddle O' Doom!"

Well nice to see the refs get made fools of...Donald Brashear's punch on Darcy Tucker was a clear punch in front of the ref...if the league doesn't at least issue a warning (and it should be awarning to BOTH teams) then they are on crack...

Aside from that it was a really great game and this series is the only one where both teams seem to truely want to kill the other...

If I were you, I'd be more worried about getting outshot 75-38 than about what the refs call. You guys get outshot like that again, and you can pretty much say that they'll be golfing soon.

The ducks are getting outshot too...so why aren't they getting ready for golf???

The Leafs rely more on chances then actual shots...after the 2nd period both the Flyers and Leafs had many chances that never made it to the net...

I have to think that Detroit will pull this game out. They've got to have enough heart to win at least ONE.

They're also outplaying the ducks at every turn. Interesting, and fun series thus far if you're not a Wings fan. But tonight, I don't know that the Ducks have what it takes to end it.

Too much playoff experience on the other side.

That's what I think too. Going into this game, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see the Wings come back and win the series. They are smart enough to know it's just one game at a time, and don't tell me that the Wings can't win 4 games in a row. I'm not saying that they'll do it, I'm just saying that if there's a series that could go like that, it's this one.

I'm all about underdogs, so this whole series has been fun for me.

Actually, with all the close games, and...

...HOLY SHIT..

THEY SCORED.

Now seriously, I know this is off topic from Sports, but WHY can't wrestling do something like that?

The underdog, comes in and wins, in his home town? Seriously, look at that crowd, look how happy they are.

That is real fun. Wrestling could be fun like that.

I honestly thought the Ducks would win...but even I can't believe they won it 4 in a row...

and man, Rucchin deserved to get that goal as he has been the ducks unsung hero for many games...

Also have to feel good for Kariya. He's suffered through so much crap in Anaheim, and just to be a part of it has to be sweet. He's been a class act all along. Nice to see him play a lot of games this year and have some success.

The funny thing is that people bitch at him because he has taken one or two (or two dozen) dives...

Well it goes back to 98 and him getting tired of getting hit with cheap shots...Kariya has felt that he has to do everything he can to make sure he can play his game...

and man, I wonder if Cujo will become the Leafs number one fan like he said he would if the Wings don't win the cup...
