Dude, don't pretend that you thought that was a bad trade at the time. He's had one pretty good season. Fuck, Jim Carey had one great season, and where is he? Giguere is hardly the man. If he had been playing in Calgary this season, things wouldn't be that different here.

I did think it was a bad trade at the time, we were giving up a young goalie with good potential to keep a glorified backup who the fans were in love with, all the Freddy chants at the dome blinded everyone to his actual skill level, Jiggy never even got much of a chance here.

One OT win doesn't a series make.
Cloutier looked like GOD against the Wings in Game 1 and 2 last year...

Wow the Leafs got smoked tonight. Belfour did awesome only to give up 4 goals, it could have easily been 8.

Housley and McCabe are HORRIBLE together and could be looked at as the biggest reason they lost tonight.

They can't even use their normal excuse of too many penalties, the refs actually let a few go by.

To put it simple, Philly just outplayed Toronto in every area of the game. Philly is bigger and they showed it tonight.

Its not over by a long shot, Leafs still have home advantage for the rest of the series, so I am still pulling for the win, but any more nights like this and it will be a short series

Edmonton and Dallas are evened up now as well, in another blowout.

That one got rough, Cross got away with alot before he finally got called.

Its going to be another long series (they are used to it)

I don't think an 8th seeded team has ever won the cup and Vancouver back in 94 was the closest to it ever happening.

"As for the Wings...I just don't see them as being that much better then the Ducks. Also, there is usually an upset in the 1st round...plus, if there's any OT games, the Ducks have Steve Thomas..."

With a 2-0 series lead I'm
thinking that the Wings aren't THAT much better then the Ducks, and that they might be able to pull of the upset...although Stumpy decided that his body couldn't take OT...oh well...

Islanders suck thus proving my theory that they didn't beat Ottawa the other day, Ottawa beat themselves. By the Way, Brodeur is the man!! GO DEVILS!! GO ISLES!!

Detroit is better than Anaheim, much better actually. The difference in this series has been the goaltending. They have both been very good, close games, and Detroit should have won today, but Cujo has been just a bit tentative in net.

I really can't see Detroit coming back though, expecially on the road. It can be done, stranger things have happened, but I don't see it this time. This is why I like the playoffs, anything can happen.

Ottawa v NYI, will be only a matter of time before NY is gone, they may win one more game, but Ottawa will show their dominance as the series goes on.

Just wondering about Edmonton, how well would they be doing if they didn't give everything away at the deadline?

You know, I still don't get what the big fuss about the Sarter trade was...a good player...but not nbeartly as good as he thinks he is...

trading your top defenseman is always dumb though...

And I still think that the gap between Detroit and The Ducks is not that great...it's just that Stumpy and co have to make good on every chance they get to be the better team...so far, so good...

I am glad to see Ohlund back in the 'nucks lineup and proof that game one was some fucked up anomaly.

Also nice to see Bert get in there and lay some phat season-ending checks.

I wonder if Todd will be placed in the same group as Tucker now???

I realize Darcey doesn't score asd much..but they bot flap their gums a lot and deliver "hard" hits that some (not me) suggest are done with intent to injure...

Yeah, except that Tucker is a cheapshotting little bitch, whereas Bertuzzi is a legit big tough guy who hits clean. Just because he hurts people doesn't make him dirty. Tucker goes after knees and shit.

I still don't buy that a hip check is going for a guys knee...if so, then Stevie Y is cheap because he will go low and turtle all the time...

I'd say Tucker is more stupid then cheap...

I'd rather lose in five to the Blues than be a defending Stanley Cup champion and be swept by the Ducks.

Pardon my french Ike but FUCK THAT! I am not prepared to lose to any team. Especially the Blues because we beat them just about every other time we met this season. A loss to the blues or a loss to the blue jackets is still a loss. Playoff losses are inevitable but are still unacceptable. The only team I don't mind watching lose is the Leafs. And I would even kinda like to see them get by Philly but only because I have a severely irrational hatred for the Flyers.

Being here in Colorado I'm loving the fact that Detroit is down 3-0 (we all hate those guys out here), and isn't Dallas trailing their series as well?
I think the Avs have gotten it together since that first game, and having the best goalie on the planet doesn't hurt either.

To hell with Hockeytown, bring the Cup back to Denver.
