I think Prince had a similar move where he had purple drank then pissed on bitches...but that was purple rain. And I dont even want to mention what "Little Red Corvette" consists of. And Raspberry berret is a horrible position as well. Good Lord.

Back on topic, Prince would make a great addition to RockBand 3 DLC

I could've sworn that I read once that Harmonix tried, but Prince refused to allow his songs to be in any game like that.

I haven't played it since finally starting Dragon Age II, but Create is a fun little hidden gem. Basically each level gives you a different task--such as, "get this object from point A to point B." You're given a list of materials to work with, and have to build a Rube Goldberg machine to meet your goal. It turned out to be much more fun than I'd expected, and it's well worth a rental.

Just saw that Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2 are each down to $29.99 (new) at my local Gamestop. I think I know what my next purchase (or two) will be.

Totally forgot about that. Sorry man.

But he'll let Glee cover him? What a dick.

I don't like Prince or his music, so I don't care, but come on man.

I'm just messing around anyway... how are you liking it so far?

And I could be totally wrong about the Prince thing.

I really dig it a lot. I can't really play it when the kids are around so after a week I've just made it to act 4, but I really enjoy the sophomoric humor of the whole thing. Maybe I'll get around to beating it in the next week and I plan on taking a crack at Homefront next (I'm told it's only 4-5 hours long).

And I don't want to turn this into another page of Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but just to let Gator and anyone else playing it know, I ponied up the $10 to download Shuma Gorath and Jill Valentine, and Jill is awesome. By far my new favorite character on the game. Incredibly fast, but they didn't skimp on giving her power behind her punches, either. Her hyper combos aren't the best but her basic moveset is enough to get you through most fights. I haven't messed with Shuma yet, but Jill is totally worth it.

Sucker. (Of course I paid the extra $10 to get the collector's edition to get my free code, so we're even)

I totally forgot to D/L those two. I'd assume Shuma Gorath would play a lot like he used to in MVC. I'll check him out still though.

I finished Dragon Age II last night.

And instead of picking something out of my backlog to play I went and got a bunch of DJ Hero stuff from Gamestop today. I'm really digging some of the mixes on it and I can't complain, and it doesn't hurt that I got both games and two turntable for a grand total of $40. Has anybody else played this?

I have both DJ Hero games... I like them pretty well. I was shocked I liked the first one as much as I did, since I'm not usually into that type of music, but I played it quite a bit for a little while. The second one I got this past Christmas and haven't played it all that much, but like all those types of games it's pretty similar to the first.

Gamestop is currently running a decent sale. I know you can get a brand new GOTY edition of Borderlands for $20, so if you're looking for something new to play this is a good weekend to hit them up

If you own a console and down own Borderlands.....GET THE HELL TO GAMESTOP. That is a frickin sweet deal - the DLC alone is worth it.

I already own Borderlands and I'm tempted to pick that up. I've still never played any of the DLCs for it, and I don't have much hard drive space left, so that'd be pretty perfect.

But yeah, if you haven't played it before, you need to snap up that deal. It's a fantastic game.

I was really tempted to pick up Borderlands yesterday, too. But I feel like I already have a bunch of shooters and even some post-apocalyptic shooters to play. What exactly makes Borderlands so awesome? I'd gotten the feeling that much of the appeal was just in finding new weapons and constantly being rewarded with points and new stuff. Is there more to it than shooting at hordes of stuff? What exactly makes it so awesome?

Bioshock 2 has been getting better as it moves along. Have I mentioned that speargun headshots are one of the most satisfying kills of all time?

re: borderlands
There's a kajillion missions. You're always looking for and finding new loot especially weapons and trying them out re: what works and floats your boat.

You can play up to 4 player multi (or do split screen co-op which is what I do with my kiddo) and the joint play is really rewarding and almost necessary as you level up.

For $20 for this...you can't go wrong at all.

I like Top Spin 4. It's a lot of fun to play throgh the career. It is the first game in the series that I've played if that makes a difference.

I loved Top Spin 2, but hated 3... they changed way too much about the controls and I just couldn't get into it. I'll have to rent 4 and give it a try. Hopefully it's nothing like 3.

Damn you CiG. I now own Borderlands.

Gamestop also tempted me with $30 for DJ Hero 2, with turntable. Anyone actually played that one? Its tempting; and I bet it'll be hard to find that piece of hardware soon.

Joel, if you're into dance music and hip hop, DJ Hero is worth it. I got it Friday and had a blast with it over the weekend.

Nope. It has odd-numbered achievements. I refuse to touch it.

Yes, I'm that guy.

Oh man. Stupid Puzzle Fighter drove me crazy by sticking me a weird digit ending I couldn't get rid of, and it took You Don't Know Jack to fix it. Once I beat all 73 episodes of the game, though, I'm going to have a weird number ending again. I completely, shamefully, understand.

DJ Hero still tempts me. Green Day Rock Band Plus for $20 at bestbuy.com tempts me; mostly for the export code for all those songs in regular Rock Band 3. I'm trying to lead a productive life and pay my expenses. Damn you sales!

... and while I appreciate supporting the industry, especially since I have friends in it, I can't get over the feeling that people who pay full price for games are suckers. Everything I've wanted for the Xbox has dropped in price a LOT just by waiting a few months. Final Fantasy 13, Mass Effect 2, hell, I'm pretty sure I saw Fallout: New Vegas for $30 recently.

I'll only buy a game on day one if it's some blockbuster that I HAVE to play... but yeah, you're totally right. Usually within the first couple months, some store will have a $20-$30 off sale. Homefront just came out a few weeks ago, and it's already down to $40.

And New Vegas is on sale this week for $20... the collector's edition is $30.

If it's something that's been out awhile that you don't mind waiting an unspecified amount of time for, I can't recommend Half.com highly enough. The prices people are re-selling for are fantastic for the most part.

But the even better kicker is the "Pre-Sale" option. Just set the max price you're willing to pay (as well as minimum condition, seller's ratings, etc.) and sit back and wait for somebody willing to sell their copy at your price. My copy (brand new, mind you) of Super Street Fighter IV should be arriving this week, and I only paid $10 plus shipping.
