How about enlarging the textbox we use when composing messages?

The subject is self-explanatory.

It's kinda small, especially when you're making long posts or quoting a long post.

What do you guys think?

I see why it would be a good idea. As of now, the text box takes up about 1/3 of the length of the DIV box that it's in, with nothing to take up the remaining 2/3.

But I don't know if it would be an easy fix, as I don't know how much coding control this particular board gives the admins.

Edit: Guess there is some control over that, as I just noticed it's gotten bigger.

How's this?

The message boxes should now about about 80% wider, and about 50% taller. And at most common screen resolutions, that shouldn't come even close to breaking the tables/template.

The only caveat is that I had to go in and change the code for each different type of post. I think I got them all: new thread, reply, reply with quote, new poll, and edit post. If there's some other way you freaks have figured out how to post and I missed changing the code for that particular page, just lemme know.

Otherwise, enjoy your spacious new text boxes...

Just saw it. Just used it. Definitely helps. Thanks, Rick. If I were in Dayton, I'd hug you. But no eye contact. Otherwise, that'd be gay.

If you're ever in Dayton, I would remind you that a firm handshake and a free whiskey-based beverage will do.

In matters pertaining to public displays with complete strangers (of either gender, really; unless they are a pretty girl who insists upon talking to me and is wearing something backless), I generally prefer to adhere as closely as possible to the wisdom of "Arrested Development" Season One:

"NO TOUCHING~!"

But regardless, I'm glad the change is roughly what you'd hoped for, and will make things a bit easier for all...

Tell the truth Rick...all you did is light some candles, put in some Barry White and it "enlarged" on its own....

Thought I'd drag this up to mention this. I just installed Firefox 4.0, and it allows you to adjust the size of the textbox on your own. There's a handle at the bottom right corner that lets you extend the box wider and/or taller as you see fit. Nice feature.

So you like to adjust the size of your textbox on your own, do you?

And you do it by pulling on a handle which extends it?
