AJ Styles gets a HUGE tattoo

And I bet it's from Shannon Moore's place because it's terrible -

I hope it's fake. You can almost see the regret in his face...

Terrible. What are the dates significant for? The birth dates of his children?

Ugh. About the only thing this has going for it is that the placement is unique. So it's not like he got something that everyone else has, but it's a pretty ugly and oddly sized tattoo. The shape of the letters is really weird, especially the lower curve on the "J". Maybe he's trying to compete with Santino and MVP for the worst tattoos in wrestling.

Any idea what the dates are?

ETA: For as big of a Christian as this guy is, I always assumed that if he got tattoos they'd be Jesusey/Bibley, instead he went for pure narcissism-- good for you AJ.

ETA2: Wikipedia confirms the dates are his children's birth dates, and Wikipedia is never wrong.

I really hope those are the birthdates of his children and not dates of his World Title wins... (I'm too lazy to go check and confirm, but the last date looks about right in terms of when he won his last championship).

I don't mind MVP's since he got them in prison. And I like his Count of Monte Cristo quote on his forearm.

I'll give you Santino though. Big Show's are generic as hell. I still believe Hurricane Helms getting that huge "HELMS" across his back ended his wwe career.

That's what I was thinking.

How could any worst tattoo list be complete without Vance's tramp stamp or Brock's sword?

As for good tattoos, I've always like Gallows screaming skull on the shoulder and Umaga's terminator version of himself.

I'm all for tattooing, but man...that's pretty lame. Why, AJ, why?

And I checked on Wikipedia and it appears the dates are for his kids, as they don't match up with his TNA world title wins (though coincidentally, two of his title wins came within days of his children being born).

Now I hope Helms comes to TNA so he can form a stable with AJ and Hernandez as The Guys Who Have Giant Tattoos Of Their Own Names.

I still say Wade Barrett's "blob" is one of the more ugly tattoos I've seen.

I can't wait for AJ to go to WWE as "Kyle Braydon" with that tattoo.

But is it as bad as Batista's sun belly button tattoo?

Wade Barrett's blob looks like an attempt at a cover up that didn't quite work.

In fairness AJ didn't really get his own name tattooed. I mean he DID, but his kids are all "AJ" too. I mean, its still his name and all and I'm not going to venture into what it takes for a man to give all his kids his same initials but still... just like "got his kids' birthdates, not his title wins" saves a little face "got his kids' initials, not his own" saves a little face.

Its still fucking God ugly, along with 90% of tattoos I've seen reaffirms my confidence that I made the right choices in life not to get a tattoo, and makes me dread seeing that God awful thing on TV and what it will make AJ look like.

Apparently it was some kind of weird marathoning of tattoos to TNA guys at the grand reopening of Shannon Moore's shop. I've seen a shot of James Storm's new tattoo and Matt Morgan apparently got something done. It just makes me imagine the TNA roster sitting around getting drunk and pressuring AJ into getting an ugly as sin tat all while Storm and Morgan sat on the side laughing.

And is it just me or should a tattoo parlor be cleaner than that overflowing garbage can suggests?

He smiled.

Ugh... I hate Storm's tat. Of course, I hate pretty much all skull tattoos. I don't know why, exactly - I just don't like them. I'm sure some would have a problem with all of my tattoos being purple, but whatever. All personal preference, I suppose. That being said, yeah - Storm's does seem like something he'd have.

But, yeah - AJ's seems off, to me. Kids' names/birthdays isn't an uncommon tattoo, but the size and location is unexpected.

I saw this the other day on twitter, and wow AJ's tattoo is really awful. Storm's I kind of like, and he will probably have it covered by his boots and knee pads anyway. But damn, AJ's is kinda ugly. It might be for his kids, but it's going to come across as egotistical to people who don't know.

I think the look in Styles' eyes isn't regret it's more, "Fuck, this has me so high right now." After that amount of your torso being inked in a single sitting he'd be rolling in endorphins and going over that relatively thinly covered rib area has got to be so painful I'd imagine.

Besides, the regret won't set in until he starts getting Flair-like lat-sag in his 40's.

Everyone is being way too harsh. He wanted the tattoo, so he got it. I don't think it looks bad or anything. At least everything is lined up and even.

That's a negative, kemosabe. I actually got one of the regrettable tats covered on my honeymoon. I'm hoping that one day I'll have money to do something with the other one.

So you had an ex's name and which of - tramp stamp, belly button ink or barbed wire arm band?

None of the above, fortunately. Nor an ex's name, either. Just a few dumb things that seemed cool when I was 18 that aren't so cool as an adult.
